Rediscover the Red Cross Today
Free bi-monthly tours will be held at Orange County facility
SANTA ANA, Calif. – The public is invited to “Rediscover the Red Cross” during upcoming tours of the Orange County Chapter. The free one-hour tours will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the services the American Red Cross provides to the community, and visitors will meet the staff and volunteers that make up the backbone of the organization.
Attendees will learn how the Red Cross responds when disasters strike, as well as gain an inside look at the other services it provides, such as blood collection for local hospitals, disaster preparedness classes, CPR certification and family reunification.
The tours, which begin at 12 p.m., will take place at 600 Parkcenter Drive in Santa Ana on Feb. 16, April 19 and June 23. Visitors are also invited to enjoy a free lunch, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. Space is limited, so reservations are required.
Come and discover how the Red Cross makes your community stronger and safer. RSVP today to guarantee your place on a tour. For additional information, please contact David Nguyen at communityoutreach@oc-redcross.org
Help people affected by disasters by donating to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters. Your gift enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to victims of all disasters. Call (714) 481-5300 or 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Contributions may be sent to the American Red Cross of Orange County, 601 North Golden Circle, Santa Ana, CA 92705. Internet users can make a secure online contribution by visiting www.oc-redcross.org.
