…In 2008, our day-to-day activities will remain focused on the guiding principles of our mission – to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies…The value of creating strong partnerships for catastrophic disaster planning, mitigation, and response is immense, and success means developing clear roles and responsibilities for service delivery throughout our region… During the recent, prolonged Santiago Canyon wildfire response and the canyon evacuations caused by the rainstorms that followed, we saw our effective partner relationships in action.
