Latino and Asian Pacific Islanders Outreach Program - CPR/First Aid & CDE Instructor Help our community by providing the information and skills needed to assist family members and neighbors. Disaster and Client ServicesClient Caseworker Plays an integral part in providing good customer service to the community members affected by a disaster. Disaster Action Team Member Assists the Red Cross in providing immediate relief to victims of disaster and help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies 24-hours per day. Disaster Assessment Associate Assists the Red Cross in collecting and communicating disaster assessment information during the early stages of a disaster response. Workers identify record, collect and distribute disaster assessment information collected in affected areas/communities. For more information on this position, please click here. Disaster Communications Service Associate Provides communications resources (using telecommunications, radio and data systems) to staff and activities involved in a disaster relief operation or other chapter activities as may be required. Maintains the organization’s ability to communicate with essential partners (Emergency Management, Fire, Police, EMS, & Community Partners) during relief operations or whenever conventional communications resources may be affected by outside events. Disaster Health Services (Shelter & EAS) Associate (Shelters & Emergency Aid Stations) Provides healthcare and first-aid for clients, and in some cases staff. Disaster Health Services Caseworker Provides casework management, healthcare and first-aid for clients, and in some cases staff. Disaster Liaison (to local government and volunteer agencies) Assists the Red Cross in collecting and communicating disaster related information about the scope and nature of the disaster, service delivery locations and other basic coordination issues with local government (City and County) and other volunteer agencies active in the disaster relief efforts. Disaster Mental Health Service Associate Provides for and responds to the psychosocial needs of Red Cross constituents across the continuum of disaster preparedness, response and recovery. International Tracing/Services Worker Helps families who have been separated by armed conflict and/or natural disaster around the globe in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Adding to the physical losses, the confusion and chaos surrounding war and natural disasters often separates families when they need each other most. Local Disaster Volunteer (LDV) Associate Scheduler Ensures that all available local disaster volunteers are placed/scheduled appropriately into positions during disaster relief operations. Receives requests for volunteers from relief operation leadership, identifies appropriate and available individuals to meet those requests, and schedules those volunteers on relief operations. Logistics (Material Support Services) Associate Works cooperatively with other members of the disaster relief operation to support the material needs of the operation. Areas of responsibility include transportation, facility management, in-kind donations and warehousing & supply. Mass Care (Feeding and Sheltering) Associate Works cooperatively with other members of the disaster relief operation to support the food and shelter needs of those affected by a disaster. Specific areas of responsibility include shelter and shelter management as well as fixed and mobile feeding operations. Office Assistant / Project Assistant Provides clerical and administrative assistance to department to support daily operations and/or support in our disaster preparation. Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) Representative Supports and provides assistance to military families by briefing departing service members and their families regarding available support services and explaining how the Red Cross may assist them during the deployment. Both active duty and community-based military can count on the Red Cross to provide emergency communications that link them with their families back home, access financial assistance, counseling and assistance to veterans. Health and Safety Chair The Health and Safety Chairperson represents all program interests to the volunteer leadership and volunteer staff including clients, instructors, Board of Directors and the general public at large.
