For Educators - Overview

As part of the Red Cross effort to increase community awareness of health and safety issues, the Orange County Chapter offers material tailored specifically for educators.

Positive Prevention is a comprehensive educational program designed to provide adolescents with both the information and support they need to choose behaviors that reduce their risk of becoming infected with HIV and other STDs. This research-validated curriculum is available in versions tailored to middle school, high school or special population students within California or across the nation.

Scrubby Bear is an award-winning program that teaches children the importance of hand washing. Our spokesbear's DVD, brochures and other materials will assist you in teaching 4 to 7-year-olds that good hygiene can prevent diseases such as infectious diarrhea, colds and hepatitis A.
